A truly historic stadium in one of the most beautiful scenic parts of the world. Although the Tsunami ruined pitch in 2004, it was rebuilt better than ever.

Visiting the Ground - Travel
Stadium Map
The Galle Internation Stadiums is on the south coast of Sri Lanka. For most people, this will mean a plane ride to the beautiful island of Sri Lanka.
Driving
The address for your satnav is Colombo Road, Galle 80000. The stadium sits just off the E01 road whether coming from the North or the East. Once you get off the main road you are only about 20 minutes from the ground.
Train - Public Transport
Galler Railway Station is located just 5 minutes walk from the Galle International Cricket Stadium. Trains run regularly from the train tracks coming in from the Western Coast of the island. However, there is a lack of trains in the South East of Sri Lanka making train travel impossible/tricky from this region. Even from the Center Of Sri Lanka trains are routed to the west coast, meaning that it may be quicker to drive or go by bus from most southern towns/cities.
Airports and Flying
The three nearest airports to the stadium are Mattala Rajapaksa, Ratmalana and Bandaranaike; all around 1 half 30 minutes from the stadium.
