Due to current travel restrictions, English Cricket fans could not travel to Sri Lanka to support the lads for the latest international games.
But luckily for them, a fanatic cricket fan named Rob Lewis had been stranded in Sri Lanka for ten months since the first Corona Lockdown.
Rob’s job as a web designer meant he could work remotely, and he has been living and working (and occasionally DJing in the evenings) in Sri Lanka since the travel bans were first placed in March 2020.
He was the sole English fan there, and because he wasn’t allowed to watch the game from the ground, he watched it from the famous Galle Fort just next to the ground.
His dedication was rewarded by England Captain Joe Root who saluted the mega-fan with his bat after getting his double hundred.
